  • In-service welding

VISUAL INSPECTION WORKSHOP TRAINING:
Fri: 8 am – 5 pm

This session will help prepare you for the CWI Exam (Part B)
This workshop provides hands-on training in the use of weld measurement tools and plastic weld replicas to determine the sizes of various weld discontinuities. Students will compare what they find to the criteria in the codebook to determine the acceptability or rejection criteria of the sample weldments.

Topics to be covered:

  • Visual Inspection of Welding
  • Weld and Base Discontinuities
  • Welding Codes and Specification
  • Welding Procedure Qualification Record (PQR)
  • Welder Performance Qualification Record (WPQR)
  • Use of inspection tools
