The training we provide and by successfully passing the AWS Exam are the first steps in a lucrative and rewarding career. The CWI® is widely recognized, both nationally and internationally accepted, which will provide you a stable career.
This program will prepare students to take the CWI/CAWI/CWE examination. We will introduce the student to various information pertaining to inspection of welds as well as terms and definitions used by AWS. The student will be provided information in the form of PowerPoint slides, practice examinations, and hand-outs. This course will also familiarize students with AWS procedures on exam day.
We offer 6 days of intensive training. The course will meet a minimum of 8 hours each day Monday thru Friday and on Saturday a sample practice session will be given with tips on how to prepare for the exam. (Practice Examination questions may not be same as the AWS Exam.)

- Registration to this seminar does not qualify as registration for the AWS CWI/CAWI/CWE Examination.

APPLICATION
- Application and payment must be received 2 weeks prior to scheduled seminar.
- Provide 2 alternate seminar dates should desired date not be available
CLASS TIME
- Registration begins at 7:30 am on first day of seminar
- Valid driver’s license or passport is required to verify identity on registration day
- Instruction begins at 8:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm, may run over if needed to cover topics that day
- Cell phones are to be silenced during instruction time with vibration off
STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING COURSE WILL RECEIVE
- A certificate of completion showing required training hours
- Documentation of training

- Sticky Index Tabs example: Post-It® 1” Tabs, multi-color, write on
- Various colored Highlighter pens
- API Standard 1104 Welding of Pipelines and related facilities – 20th Edition
- Ruler to assist in highlighting
We will provide the following:
- Pens and scratch paper
- Manuals and Study guides unless other arrangements are made
HOUSING AND MEALS
- Students are responsible for their own housing and meals
- Snacks and beverages will be provided
- Students may bring their own food
INSURANCE AND MEDICAL CARE
- Students are responsible for their own medical care and expenses
TRAVEL TO SEMINAR
- Students are responsible for travel cost to and from seminar
- During lunch breaks, students are responsible for travel cost to local restaurants
SAFETY AND HEALTH
- Tobacco use not permitted inside the training facilities
- Smoking is allowed outside training facilities or designated smoking areas
- Our training facilities has a no firearms policy within training facility this includes concealed permit holders
DRESS CODE
- No shorts, open-toed shoes or sandals
LOCATION OF SEMINAR SITES
- We will strive to make seminars available by setting up locations around New Mexico; date and location will be stated on the schedule.
- This will make it more affordable for participants by reducing lodging and travel cost
- Send request for seminar to be held at a location not stated in the schedule and if there are enough participants we will make an attempt to set one up at that location

PAYMENT
- Full payment is required 2 weeks prior to seminar instruction date
- A confirmation letter will be sent showing acceptance to the seminar by first choice or next available choice site via email

CANCELLATION POLICY
- Fee of $200 will be withheld from full payment if cancellation is made 7 days prior to instruction date, seminar, materials that student would have received is not issued
- Fee of $500 will be withheld from full payment if “no-shows” occurs, materials that student would have received is not issued
- Refund will be placed back on credit card if paid with a credit card
- Cash is not available for refund(s)
- If we cancel a seminar, we will notify you at least 5 days in advance and provide a full refund or reschedule according to your preference
- Based onthe number of registrants, seminar may be canceled if we do not get enough registrants in a location.
